Therapy of Peter Hess, is known for its meticulously crafted singing bowls, tools of healing that are hand-forged in Nepal using centuries-old methods. The brand has built a global following through immersive sound bath experiences and therapeutic resonance.Despite the singing bowls’ emotional and spiritual depth, the packaging had yet to reflect their significance – delivered in plain, utilitarian boxes that offered no sense of the product’s intent or artistry. Hess Sound approached Free The Birds to create a brand identity that honoured the tradition and integrity of the bowls while supporting their ambitions to grow in the luxury wellness space.

Beautiful Thinking

Free The Birds responded with a visual and verbal identity that captures the profound calm and vibrational power of the product itself. Inspired by the form and function of the bowls, the new packaging system features minimalist layouts, soft natural tones, and abstract gold-accented line illustrations that echo acoustic reverberations and circular harmony.The design transforms the unboxing into a meditative ritual, mirroring the intentionality of a sound bath. At the heart of the brand refresh sits a new line: “Let sound still the noise.” This emotive expression communicates both the product’s purpose and the brand’s promise—to offer ancient tools for modern wellbeing. The new identity system not only aligns the product with high-end wellness experiences but also opens up new opportunities in premium spa environments, boutique hotels, and elevated retail contexts.
